Modern Engineering Graduate Programme

On this programme, you can expect to be working directly with our clients to help deliver projects using some of the most advanced technologies on the market. You will help drive and deliver business transformation, develop industry-leading specialist skills, and help transform our clients around the world. This will include designing, building testing and deploying strategic solutions for our clients.

As a key member of project teams, you’ll work side by side with our clients in a variety of roles, understanding the challenges and requirements, helping to formulate a plan of action and collaborating with local and global teams to deliver innovative solutions.

What you’ll learn

As an Analyst in Modern Engineering, we are looking for people with an interest in getting hands-on with technology. But we don’t expect you to know it all. Depending on the nature of the project we will train you in technologies such as Java/J2EE, C#, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular.js.

What’s in it for you

You will get the opportunity to work with a vast array of highly skilled people and continue to learn and grow your skills through our extensive training program.

At Accenture in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package which includes 25 days of vacation per year, access to app-based fitness classes and discounts on a range of gyms, private medical insurance and three days’ leave per year for charitable work of your choice.

What we’re looking for

On the Modern Engineering Graduate Programme, we’re looking for a passion to grow and develop, a desire for self-improvement, a curious mind, and a strong work ethic. You will bring a creative and innovative mindset to your work and clients while ensuring the highest quality work delivered on time.

We’re also looking for you to demonstrate a passion for technology in either your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.

For Modern Engineering, IT skills are essential. You will need a degree in IT, computer science, or a technology-related subject. However, if you have a real passion and flair for technology, as well as an understanding of how it can be used, we will consider a maths, science, or engineering degree. We expect you to have a real interest in software engineering and end-to-end design and delivery, and you’ll know a thing or two about programming.

Where you’ll work

You will need to live within commutable distance of your home office which will be Newcastle and you will be expected to come into the office regularly.  Due to the nature of our work, you may be delivering projects on client sites anywhere in the UK and sometimes outside of the UK. Accenture is a people first business which thrives on collaboration, knowledge sharing and building strong connections. You will be expected to work on client site or in your home office for a minimum of 3 days a week (or more depending on business requirements).
